Main Topics
  1. Isolation and identification of natural products
Isolation and identification of plant secondary metabolites usually involves numerous extraction and chromatographic steps, fallowed by hours of spectral analysis. This is inevitable part of phytochemical research. Contributions showing the progress in this area are invited.

  2. Synthetic approaches to development of bioactive natural products derivatives and analogues
Natural compounds do not always have perfect physico-chemical properties. Synthetic approaches leading to their desired modifications or total synthesis is necessary. Share with us your knowledge and experimental procedures done in this area.

  3. Pharmacology and toxicology of natural products
The pharmacological evaluation is necessary to identify the possible therapeutic potential od isolated natural compounds or their semisynthetic derivatives. Therefore, all in vitro and in vivo studied conducted to identify the pharmacologic potential of natural compounds are welcome.

  4. Applied metabolomics and genomics, genetics
Metabolomic studied become a part of phytochemical evaluation of medicinal plants. Studies profiling medicinal plants, plant extracts or evaluating the metabolome after the interaction with living organism are welcome, so as genetic and genomic studies connected with production of secondary metabolites.

  5. Analytical methods in natural products
Come to show us your progress in application of analytical methodology in the plant sciences, as well as in natural products research. The spectrum of methods is broad, encompassing methods and techniques relevant to the detection (including bio-screening), extraction, separation, purification, identification and quantification of compounds.

  6. Plant Biotechnology
Plant biotechnology can be defined as the utilization of tissue cultures and genetic engineering techniques to produce genetically modified plants that exhibit new or improved desirable characteristics. The modification of plant compounds or production of secondary metabolites with utilization of biotechnological system is included.

  7. Chemotaxonomy
Contribution evaluating the biological similarity of organisms, particularly these dealing with similarities in secondary metabolites and taxonomical classification will be accepted as part of conference agenda.

  8. Sustainability and ecology in natural products processing
Methods of green processing of secondary metabolites, organic cultivation of medicinal plants, green extractions, methods of green chemistry and utilization of waste and side products for obtaining secondary metabolites for further processing are particularly welcome.

  9. Natural products
Describe and present your research and development in area of phytotherapeutics, functional food and food supplements, and practical application of basic research in area of medicinal plants.

  10. Marine and microbial secondary metabolites
Marine organisms and microorganisms produce a wide array of secondary metabolites, including terpenes, steroids, polyketides, peptides, alkaloids and porphyrins. This kingdom offers the unexplored fields of structures with broad spectrum of activities and great therapeutic potential. Introduce your experiments and broaden the horizon of auditory in this area.
